I’m getting more comfortable, more confident with my decor blogging. It helps, of course, when the decor creators of Second Life are putting out so many amazing things. Uber opened today and you can shop in the brand new layout until February 23.
Llorisen is at this round of Uber with this brand new skybox, it’s pretty fabulous and I love the exterior window so I had to shoot from the outside looking in. The main living area is HUGE with a kitchenette area off to the side and two rooms through the doors at the back. It’s perfect for a newly married couple or bachelor(ette).
When I first saw this skybox I fell in love and then I started thinking what I could do to decorate it up. I remember that both Chez Moi and Ariskea had new items at Shiny Shabby so off I went. The Chez Moi set includes the couch, wall map, chair, suitcase table, and candles. You can buy the pieces separately or as a pack and adult and PG versions are available.
Living Room Group *new*: Chez Moi– Kensington Full Set PG –
Ariskea’s set includes the apothecary table, bottles, flower, and wall hanging. Again, like Chez Moi, you can purchase these as individual pieces or as a pack.
Cabinet and Decor *new*: – Liu Set –
Krescendo was in this past month’s Deco(c)rate with this amazing chandelier. Deco(c)rate is available to reserve until the 7th of the month for only 1500L then on the 8th it is delivered straight to your inventory, you need not do anything else. If you missed a box and want it you can purchase past boxes for the full price of 3000L. This chandelier comes with a HUD to change the metals and gems. All items in the Deco(c)rate are semi-exclusive and can ONLY be purchased in the crates that they were released for. Visit any participating designer’s store inworld to subscribe each month.
The other new item I really want to touch on is this vintage kitchen set from Second Spaces. Available at The Epiphany there is a total of 15 commons and 1 rare, black and white versions are available and it’s only 75L a pull to play. The Epiphany allows you to trade in unopened gacha prizes for points and those points can be redeemed for exclusive prizes that will never be available again.
My goal of one decor/landscape shot a week has become more of a whenever I’m inspired type of thing. Sometimes you get stuff that calls to you and you just have to create a post. Bee Designs was this thing. With a brand new gacha available at On9, I set out to create a lovely setting to show it off.
I had some of the decor already and when I received this blogger pack from Bee Designs I went on the hunt to find the perfect location to showcase this amazing vintage furniture. The furniture is a gacha set that includes 2 rares and 7 commons. It’s a really lovely set and was perfect for my mountain getaway.
I chose this fabulous house from Llorisen, available at the main store location, this two room, two level home has a large deck patio. It’s perfect for a bachelor(ette) or a newlywed couple. I added the fantastic music set from Chez Moi and is available in adult or PG versions. There is a HUD to texture change the beanbag chairs, record player and stand. A rug and poster are also part of the set and each piece can be purchased individually or as a complete set.
It’s New Year’s Eve, time to say goodbye to a very bad year, well not all bad but pretty bad. I’ve still got some bad to look forward to in 2018 but hopefully, the end result of that will be something very, very good. I have set some blogging goals for myself in 2018, one is to get better with my photography, to push myself into trying new things and to not be afraid. It is time, after 3 years of blogging to grow again, my blog has grown a little bit each year and this time I want BIG changes.
I really want to focus more on decor blogging, sometimes alone and sometimes as a scene. The first time I saw this gacha set from Bee Designs I knew I wanted to blog it, becoming a decor blogger isn’t easy, especially when the past 3 years has been focused on fashion. For so long I’ve used backdrops as the main focus of behind me in a blog, but a backdrop can be used for so much more. I had a lovely Ionic backdrop that I used for the walls of my room.
This gorgeous negligee set is from The Annex and is available right now at The Trunk Show, a bi-monthly, wedding-themed event. IT comes in 4 colors. I don’t normally choose pink but it fit in with everything else so well I just had to.
The gorgeous strapped heeled boots are perfection and when I saw them I knew they’d be perfect to complete my look. They come with fits for Belleza, Slink, Tonic, and Maitreya and also include a full-color HUD.
I’m still so thrilled to have been accepted by Adoness as a blogger, I’ve loved her hair for years. She’s not super active in Second Life anymore since RL has dug its claws into her but this hair is available at the main store location. It’s so sexy and feminine.
Avada is back at The Makeover Room with a new set of eyebrows, this pack includes system tattoos, Catwa, LAQ, Lelutka, and Omega. There are 7 colors and an eyebrow shape included as well. Remember that The Makeover Room does not open until January 1.
They haven’t made a song about Mrs. Claus coming to visit so this will have to do. Tell you what this Mrs. Claus could come visit me anytime. I have some really nice goodies to share with you today, some new and some I’ve used before but they are totally worth taking a look at again.
This decor thing is getting easier with each set I put together, I don’t know if it is because I am getting more items or if I’m just getting more confident. I had already blogged all the trees I had, more than once really so I was looking for something new. I also included some amazing free gifts from Paying It Forward and from Cosmopolitan. The designers participating in these two events have provided some amazing gifts for group members to enjoy. Trompe Loeil has their annual advent calendar at The Arcade as well.
This adorable Mrs. Claus outfit is from The Annex and is part of the gacha set available at PocketGacha. There are two rares, red and black, and they come with a naughty and nice version. There are also 11 commons. I chose the nice version to share today. There are options for Maitreya, Freya, and Hourglass only.
MODA was part of Bound Box this month, a super sexy, very kinky subscription box that is released once a month. These shoes are so hot I thought they’d definitely complete my Mrs. Claus look. These shoes come with a full-color HUD and are fit for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink.
